Michael Henderson
Hello, I'm Michael Henderson!

I am a Software Engineer / Full Stack Developer based in London, UK.

I'm currently a Mid-Level Full Stack Developer at GetAgent. Outside of work, I'm a mentor and instructor at Code Your Future, Code First Girls, and Re:Coded. I also regularly complete LeetCode challenges (NeetCode 150 & Blind 75), and complete courses at both Frontend Masters and Exponent.

My top skills are: JavaScript, TypeScript, React.js, Next.js, Node.js, Express, and Prisma. Besides these, I have worked extensively with with Jest, AWS, SQL, and UX Design along with Figma.

My journey into the world of computers began playing games and tinkering around with floppy disks and a MS-DOS-5. I then started coding by trying to mod "Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun". It was a challenging path filled with trials, errors, and a fair share of broken keyboards. However, after nearly a year of relentless effort, I successfully hacked the game, achieving a profound sense of accomplishment and joy that ignited my lifelong passion for computing and coding.

My career differed from my passion, as I fell into Sales and Marketing. But with a growing disinterest over the years, I finally pursued my true calling and became a developer in 2019. Glad to say I have been loving it ever since!
